Hi! I’m McCall. Flattered you’re here.

Here’s the part where I’m supposed to go on about myself in a professional-yet-endearing-and-not-too-intimidating way, but here’s the thing: while my work attitude is professional, my general demeanor is relaxed with a mantra that you can’t control anything. I also love, love, love making art.

So, what can I do for you? Create an easy, collaborative environment where your feedback and requests are always welcome. On a personal note, you may notice that the backcountry, nature, and some iteration of the high alpine are common motifs throughout my art (hence this blurb being overlaid on a picture of me rappelling down some granite). When it comes to the relationship between the art and adventure, I’m a firm believer that effort and exertion aren’t finite resources—and the more I expand myself in one area of my life, the more excited I feel to push myself in another way.

So it only feels right to pay homage to that up front. I love going into the backcountry, feeling small, and chewing on some big questions. It’s often (read also: always) after those big days where my quads and glutes feel like cement that I make my best work.

All of my drawings are made with colored pencil, pulling inspiration from the places around me and the people I’m lucky enough to call friends.

So, whether you’re looking for a drawing of a place that’s special to you, or just want to take a peek at my work: thank you for being here. I hope my art can bring some joy into your life, remind you to slow down, and not take any of this too seriously.
